BYE BYE BALLOON

BYE BYE BALLOON

Higher and higher the balloon went
Towards the sky by this child it was sent
No longer seen now from the ground
Taken by the wind and making no sound

The balloon once this child's delight
Gone forever and completely out of sight
Where will it end up and where will it land
On a field somewhere or perhaps an oasis of sand

This balloon I hope will last forever more
One heavy rainstorm and I'm not so sure
Goodbye balloon and wherever you may be
Be safe and careful on your long and winding journey

My Dear Friend Kieran,

I kind of got a feeling, that the child sent the balloon up to Heaven, for a loved one, that they were missing.
This was a very tender write.

Love,
Larry xxx
