BYE BYE MAY
A heavy heart, as May's soft blossoms fade,
The love once spirited now begins to diminish.
Each caring each color petal, in the sun arrayed,
Now scattered on the ground in a silent pain.
The joyful laughter, echoes in the breeze,
A sweet reminder of what used to be.
Now whispered sighs among the rustling trees,
As parting's shadow gently covers me.
Oh, cruel transition from a vibrant shade,
To muted tones of sorrow and despair.
The dreams we nurtured, beautiful and true,
Now disperse like misty drops upon the air.
And though I grieve, this truth I must embrace,
That love, like flowers, has its time and space.
