Poem -

Caged

Am I an animal
that you keep me locked up
Do my snarls and growls
Cause fear to leap from you?

Why the bars and locks?
Do you think being trapped
Will change my mind
Or dilute my resolve and opinions?

Wake up
These bars... attest to your fear
These locks... your stereotype beliefs
These chains... the bondage of time past

Know this
Bars... can’t keep the fear at bay
Locks... beliefs will be broken
Chains... freedom beckons

You can’t cage
What you have no control over
You can’t cage
A mind filled with passion
And hope for a new beginning

The fish of the sea

Yep, I can definitely see the message in this one. What a fantastic analogy, and tragically true reality (sorry for the rhyme) for the harshness of Racism. Pinned and stars, this is awesome and eye opening work.
