Can this be my legacy ?

Can this be my legacy ?

I don’t want to be forgotten
Will you please remember me ?
I write verses each and every day
can this be my legacy ?
When I am but a memory and my body is no more
I beg of you read my poetry
dust my books out of the drawer

I don’t want to be a nuisance so when it’s my time to go
As my eyelids are closing
I shall not be afraid you know
Think of me in my slumberland
Lost in my happy dream
Finally no tinnitus
Haha I will be like the cat that’s got it’s cream

Jillian,
We could never forget you, your wonderful personality has forever nested in our hearts. As for that drawer your poems are in, it must be the size of Bulgaria! lol.
I once wrote a similarly titled poem called Can This Be My Leg? as I had misplaced it at Saccharin Convention. I hope no one forgets my leg.
Great job!
Matthew.

Angry Response to Someone Sneaking In a Comment Momentarily Before Mine:
Hi Cheerie! You aced me out on the comment. When I started writing it, there was no one here, but then I think I nodded off , and you stole my thunder. I'm so angry...actually, I'm not! It's really nice to see you!

Wow! You're like a rambunctious Herve Villachez on speed! I think.
Can you please slow down to 600 a day, my eye just fell out. Thanks.

You sound like Dirty Harry now!
Did she write 6 poems...or only 5? But being that this is the Jillmeister 500, you're going to have to ask yourself one question?
Do you feel poemy?
Well, do ya...punk?
LOL.
I wrote several punctuation marks.
