Cancer
Cancer, is a six letter word, if you didn't know and in those six letter's so much is said. In each letter there is pain, tears, heartbreak, and frustration. In C there's the word CAN'T, you can't live the way you though you would you can't do and go see everything you dreamed of see as a happy little five year old kid with there whole life in front of them.Â
In A there is AGAIN, again being the person who is sick, again being the one that has to so desperately have to wait for something to save your life, for something to give you hope that you'll live to see the next day.Â
In N there is the word NEW, new pills for you to take. New side effects on your already failing body. A new doctor to tell you the same things when you know that it's just a matter of time till your gone.Â
In C there is CHRIST, Christ is the one you talk to when you feel like you are drowning in a disease that you, you alone have no control over but you pray to him say "God, I know you have a plan for me and I know that, but I am scared and I need your help. I need you to be with me as I am in pain."Â
In E there is the word EXHAUSTION, you are tired of fighting but you go on because life is so thin and you want to live but it is so hard and sometimes it feels so good to just close your eyes and let the world around you fade away.Â
And finally in R there is RETREAT, You are tired and you retreat to your mother's arms as she lays next to you in your hospital bed crying that it's to much and that you just want to be home. That you know she loves you but your tried and you are ready to stop, stop the pills stop the exhaustion,to stop saying that you can't. To just say your ready to sleep and wake up in a place where there is no pain no hospital...no CANCER

I am sorry for what I read and wish the speedy recovery of every patient from any disease .... The poem talks about this suffering and what drew my attention is the dissection of the word to the characters and this is something I use in some of my poems too .... I would like to stand at the letter ((C)) = Christ peace be upon him.....We as Muslims believe in him and we love and respect him and we believe in his miraculous birth and his miracles, but we believe in him as a prophet sent by Allah the Almighty becuse there is no god except Allah the Almighty... If the patient asks for healing from a disease, he must ask it from the Creator him self only , from Allah the Almighty, is the only one who can heal.
