CANDLES

you bring candles
through the water worlds
they don't go out
they gleam like pearls
the flames burn love
and hope
and light
you gift them me
to heal the night

i watch you
as you walk away
through water worlds
you walk away
while time recedes
back into day
the wax a'melt
where I do lay
