CAN'T KEEP AWAKE

My eyelids are closing I can't keep awake 
I know that I must because there is so much at stake 
If I close my eyes now I will miss my call 
All the best laid plans will crumble and fall 

It's two a.m. and I long for my bed 
So many things are swimming around in my head 
Black coffee and energy drinks have no desired effect 
Sleep deprivation is happening that's a sure fire bet 

It's hard being a night watchman that is for sure
When all I want to do is sleep and snore
