Carbon Dust

Carbon Dust

With Armstrongs boots
And Lennons mind
We could break free of captivityย
Leave our bodies behind

Looking in from the outside
With a refreshed perspectiveย
Analysing independently
Breaking free of the collectiveย
ย
Forgetting what our grey matter
Is conditionedย
And concerned about

Remembering
Realising and Identifying
The false wealthย
We can live withoutย

Unlearn the toxic vision
Shared by the corporate classes
Time and love is wealthย
Educate the massesย

So called precious minerals
Fuelled by want and lustย
Only blind fools yearn
For compressed carbon dust

ย I love this. Makes you truly think about what matters in life. if only we all had lennons mind the world might be a better place. We are all trapped in consumption and great. Can we really ever free ourselves as much as we might try?... xxย

I agree. We're all trapped in consumption and greed to some extent. It's how how we've been influenced and conditioned over the centuries. Good point Jayne, thanks for your comment.
