He has his finger, in every pie
Big brothers watching from the sky.......
So when you think you've "made it"
Beware of the ugly truth, you may hate it
For now you're a paying member
Of the club where all surrender......
You're a worldly entrepreneur
A jet-setting molder of manure
Your agenda's fed to the masses
Got the money without the classes.....
One day you'll awaken inside a church
You'll observe from your gilded perch
And you'll find yourself alone
With friendships made of stone......

Tony thanks for commenting on my piece! I was given the assignment from someone actually, and I put myself in the shoes of a father playing both roles! Its truely a blessing the talent I have been given. I believe you have a great talent as well! This piece in particular..I am always careful what I wish for, some certain key lines stuck out to me, one in particular "for now you're a paying member, of the club where all surrender"...this hit home a little. I have recently surrendered to drugs and alcohol, and It has inspired me more everyday. I enjoyed this piece. And thank you for the welcoming! Hope to read more and network with all of you!
