Carnival

It was a hot summer afternoon,
we were all in the mood for fun, a carnival,
oh what a time, rides, candy apples, the fun house
the freak show,the midway,everyone,milling
about, passing the afternoon ,it was a humid 95 degrees,
we went together ,having fun ,throwing darts ,or ride the ferris wheel,
let's take a chance ,or the coin toss, or squirting the water
guns, let's try for the giant teddy bear, or eat some cotton candy,
walk about, eat some fried dough ,or let's talk to an old friend who's enjoying the show, Carnival.

Wow!! LINDA!!.....I think this may be my Favorite "ANGEL" poem of all time....... you've truly captured the essence of 'a day at the ~ CARNIVAL"........ some very powerful imagery bringing it all to life and making the memory of the reader come to the forefront!!
