Catch Me If You Can

"Play the game, my good man!
Play it for the game’s own sake.
For every person needs a challenge.
And human nature requires the chase."

Though wiser words were never spoken,
On deaf ears they have come to rest.
For on this tarmac I stand heartbroken.
My friends' advice put to the test.

But if space is what you need so be it.
Though weary and weak, this plane I shall board.
And far away I will run from you.
Risk of loss:  my cruel reward.
