Seasons Change

Seasons Change

I was more like Summer.
I had fallen in love with Spring.
Seasons change.
Once Autumn came around, I became more like Winter.
You think you knew my name. I wish I could say the same.
Things change. I became something better. I'm not so strained. The past few years, I realized I needed to be colder. I was too warm. Too loving. Now, I'm cool to the touch if you didn't earn it.
I'm not spreading myself thin. If I didn't let you in when the Winter came, you didn't deserve it in the beginning.
I needed to change my nature. I did.
