Chaos of a cloudburst

Chaos of a cloudburst

Darkened shades of misty grey
Wavering westwards from the sea
Thunder-clapped cloudy skies
Looming steadily towards thee

Dripping droplets of random rain
Seconds of dryness remain on the ground
Humans & animals all alike
Running for shelter if it can be found

Pelting plops of pouring rain
Puddled potholes of soddened soil
Streaming down my window pane
A sudden cloud burst,  chaosed embroil

An urgency for umbrellas in everybody’s hands
An Immediate action to cover-up
From Mother nature’s weather commands

Following the downpour
Such a beautiful sight
A rainbowed arc gives sheer delight
Senses are alightened
Freshness fills the atmosphere
Blue skies are in abundance
Blackened clouds are now clear
