Charity, my Love

Charity, my love: I’m panting near the pond, for love, a chemic
Auspice. I swelter—such a deathless flame. Love, but a token
Of the boundless. Thus the soul, jungle torn; and unsung
Hymns, mystic born. Indeed—an untold treasure, my nightmare;
And untold pleasure, my flare. Thus ignite the symbol, my
Sightless dove; and flame the timbal, my fitted glove. For love,
A sacred sign; and touch, a ruby whine. But misty eyes, a
Clouded future; and sordid lies, a bleeding suture.

Thus the heart, fraught with hertz; and mystic pain, a psychic
Torch. But depth the soul, a chemic wave, bound to love, a mystic
Slave. And conscious flame, my public art, fraught with love, a
Panting hart. Thus amore, my sacred love, my tender heart, my
Sore beloved. Indeed the stars, a cryptic verse; but depth the core,
A mystic curse.
