CHARLIE

CHARLIE

Charlie sleeps in a doorway on Macklin Street
Ragged clothes on his body, no shoes on his feet
Shouting to Amanda does anybody hear ?
Everyone ignores Charlie who smells of whisky and beer

Charlie how do you survive and get through the day
People stare at you and look the other way
You look so different and so strange
Asking for money and any loose change

Charlie my heart goes out to you
I wish there was something I could do
As I throw a pound into your hat
I am thankful for what I have its as simple as that
