The character that made him famous Charlie Chan 
When offered this part Sidney could not refuse 
On screen Charlie was always looking for clues 

Charlie was ably assisted by his Number one son 
Number two and three son soon followed which was fun 
The sayings of Charlie were words to admire and respect 
The immaculate white suit was also something not to forget 

The remakes of Charlie Chan were never the same 
In my opinion they were pathetic and lame 
Sidney Toler I loved your potrayal of this Chinese guy 
Something I will cherish to the day that I die
