Poem -

Chasing

Pavements

Chasing

People
Passing
Other people
Chasing
Pavements
On a street
Totally strangers
Distinctively discrete
Everybody
Routinely rushing
Here
And everywhere
He
Has to go up yonder
She
Needs to be over there
Nobody
Knows
Do
They really care ?
Anyone
Can go
Anytime
Anywhere

Multitudes
Of mere mortals
Mindlessness
Of each other
Man
On a mission
To see
His Sister and his Mother
Buzzing
Busy bees
Making hay
When it is sunny
Catching
Public transport
Working
Nine to five for money
Life
Is for living
Live it
While we can
Plebeians
Population
Woman
And man

Each
And everyone of us
All toing
And froing
Ducking
And diving
Coming
And going
Constantly
Coming from
Waiting
To go
Up sky high
Down
Below
Working ants
Foraging food
Lighting fires
Chopping wood
Humankind
Hurrying
Had a hard day
Relax
Refresh
Revive
Repeat it all
Come what may

Hi Jill.  I like your formatting of this one....It feels like a busy rat race as it is read...Everyone chasing their own tails and busy all the time....It would be nice if life would slow down and allow us to see it for what it is and what is important....but it doesn't...lol   Great write. xo ;)
