Cherry Blossom Pie

Snow angels sitting in the sky
Awaiting messages of love to come
Above us all, lonely lives
They danced in their own ballroom
Suddenly a puff of wind blew the angels down the tree
Listen, you whispered as they slowly fell on my hands
I heard them spin in circles, singing beautiful harmony
Pink, sweet melodies, with a power that I can’t withstand
Indeed, indeed, Sweet Snow Angels,
Only in April can they be seen.
They don’t ever melt; they just fade away,
They are the angels without wings.
But Sweet Snow Angels, why did you cry,
When my grandma walked out with you inside a pie?
