Poem -

chess

Lifes clock is ticking
Soon its bells be ringing
Beckoning death to come
Days and nights slip away
Endless skies turn to grey
Tears of heaven falling
Flooding earth once more
Leaving scars on the land
Time repeating once again
On burns this endless flame
Reset this fateful game
Gods move their pieces
One by one each pawn falls
Both sides castles crash
The knights die with honor
Bishops serves their kings
Queens fight for their kings
With love and honor
Devotion and hope
Only one sad truth remains
One will fall, one will stand
