Chess Game

Chess Box...

I have had many styles of box,

and now have one that 'Rocks';

have come in many sizes -

holding my 'Chess-prizes'.

My Chess, have always adored,

there are many more 'aboard';

how you play, is so like you,

​be devious, sometimes true!

Ancient game - martial based,

you battle on, never fazed...

overwhelm your opponent -

just prove more competent!

Battle based, but so calm,

competition - with no harm;

engagement, test wits...

then final Master: 'sits'! 

In all of history's known 'fame',

the rules of game are the same;

one may win through the tactics -

or maybe distract with antics?

Competition sometimes hatches,

thus resulting in 'chess-matches' -

maybe - 'in a class of your own';

the master wins this 'showdown!

Playing without distraction;

this leads to 'win of action' -

character comes in here...

calmness - free of fear!

While the opponent is foe,

there's only one way to go;

you must win, by any way,

bringing end to the foray.

Aggressive, may well sound:

all tactics, 'your foe to pound'! -

But the game is good sport;

companionship, can report.

Style, contention does build,

and forms challenging Guild -

we gain more than just 'play':

and ​enhances Spirit, anyway! 

This play is more than fun,

and settled without a gun;

thus in every conclusion:

game results in subjugation.

Pray I've caused some  interest:

and please consider my behest:

please do conceal refrain;

and denying all of disdain!
