Cheviot hills ❤️

Cheviot hills ❤️

Oh the Cheviot hills
So scenically serene
Beautiful landscape
Surely the best I’ve ever seen

No matter where I travel
I often enjoy a roam
This little bit of the Penine way
It always calls me home

I count myself so fortunate
To be born in Northumberland
What a pleasure & delight it is
To stroll on our golden sand

Our castles are amazing
So full of history
Though I am puzzled how they made them
With no machinery

Surely I have the right to brag & boast
I live at the foot of a hill
Only twenty minutes from the coast
it certainly does fullfill

Looking all around
As I walk out my door
I realise how blessed I am
Who could wish for more ?

But my favourite view
It always gives endless thrills
Is the ever changing hues
Of the Cheviot hills
