Children Of A Lesser God

Children Of A Lesser God

The children of a lesser God,
Words they cannot form or find.
All are voice that is voiceless,
A muted scream to humankind.

Some are born with cruel conditions,
Others healthy then fate does form.
And all are legion each soul pleading,
Help us please pass through the storm.

Quality of life we take for granted,
Not appreciating how lucky we are.
Spare a thought for those afflicted,
Children of a lesser God, afar.

Hello Shaun,
beautiful tribute to our children who suffer a harder hand in life. Being a mother to a special needs none verbal child, I get to see how hard life can be for him at times. Not everyone understands him. But he is a beautiful soul who battles with our society habits every day. 📌 pinned because of how much this resonates for me personally

Thanks for finding a voice for those less fortunate đź’—

Oh Gwen I never knew this of you and your precious child and was just giving a voice to the voiceless.
This life can be demanding at the best of times and everyone of us who thinks they are hard done by should stop and reflect on just how lucky they all really are.
And Gwen I am an uncle to a bonny child with learning ( I won't say difficulties) problems and problems over time and God willing can be eventually overcome.
And as you rightfully and respectfully say a beautiful soul, for that is in each child and forever will be.
Thanks Gwen and wish you and your treasured, loved son the good things in life and hopefully a brighter future.đź’—

Having become a grandparent for the first time within the last five days 25th July 2023 .. your words scream out from the page and make me realise even more just how blessed many of us are .. while others are far less fortunate .. Neville

Nev, firstly my belated salutations on becoming a grandparent and all the joys it can bestow on both of you.
Secondly, thanks for going back to this older post and seeing it for what it has to say.
And I know you have repeated that journey to other poems of mine.
And this poet will reply to those too my friend, for I'll soon have the time next week to do so and will use a fine poetic toothcomb to do so.
In the meantime, my belated congratulations again to you and good lady wife and respect to you both :)
