Christmas Eve ?

Santas’s  jingle bells were ringing out that night, Rudolph’s red nose was their guiding light ..a sleigh full of toys for all the girls and the boys was racing like a rocket with all it’s might

Eight robustuous reindeer with Rudolph out ahead meandering over mountain tops as they zoomed and sped..nothing else could be heard but the roar of the hoofs, then ‘Shhhh’ was the silence landing lightly on the roofs

Dancer, Prancer, Donner and Blitzen then Dasher, Comet, Cupid and Vixen.. heavy snow tumbled down from the sky, on that magical mission as they did fly.. from chimney pot to chimney pot Rudolph led the way, clandestinely coming down with the heavy sleigh

As each and every small child was fast asleep in their cozy beds conjuring chimeras about Christmas and Santa Claus in their tiny heads..little did they know that their dreams would come true, presents would be delivered magically and from out of the blue.. running down the staircases in every house in the land, decorated with garlands that were Oh so grand, little ones dared to follow one another, sleepy-eyed sisters holding hands with their brothers

Bursting in the rooms they can hardly believe their eyes, presents with name tags scattered everywhere, children shriek with shock and surprise.. “Mammy, Daddy Santa’s been there’s present’s all over the chairs”
ripping, shredding, tearing paper.. excitement, commotion, frenzy and caper..Santa Claus has been and gone, Christmas day is here.. Glad tidings to everyone with happy festive cheer ?
