Christmas Eve🎅🏼

Twas the night before Christmas
Church bells were a-ringing
Choirs of carollers sweetly singing
A magical feeling in the air
Festive adornment everywhere
Little ones excited for Santa to come
Grandad sipping his favourite rum
Parents preparing the mornings events
Stuffing the turkey, wrapping presents
Children glued to the tv screen
Abundance of old favourites to be seen
We’ve watched them already every year
Full of Christmassy laughter and Xmas cheer
Not long to go now
Last minute shopping for Mother
Grandparents are in charge of sister and brother
They recite the old tales of their yesteryears
They are lost in their memories
Glowing eyes with happy tears
Santa secretly rushing around
His scattering of gifts hes strewn abound
Tho noone did see him
He was as quiet as a mouse
You can bet he has called at every house
Yuletide, families and friends, gather in celebration
Delighting in the joy of such a jolly jubilation…
