Poem -

Christmas through a window...

Christmas through a window...

I see you through frosted window
I see you happy in your family home
From the outside it's like a snow globe
With logs crackling and burning slow

Wish me a Merry Christmas, I'm just like you
Do you think my cardboard home will last another day
Will the soup kitchen remind me of better ways
If you're having a Christmas, can I have one too
If you're having a Christmas, can I have one too

Nobody likes to think of me, while putting up their tree
The world is a cruel place, I say through the window
I touch the frozen glass, tears run down my face
Tonight will the angel be real, that I make in the snow

If you're having a Christmas, can I have one too
If you're having a Christmas, can I have one too

I'm not a pity story that you can change
I don't even have what you put on Santa's plate
I just want the people not to turn their faces
When you hear the sound of jingle bells playing

To Santa Claus...
It's James here, I'm the boy who looks for you in the stars
I'm the one on the naughty list because I don't get my toys
Christmas eve comes, I hear the Christmas carols
But I still see that lovely family putting another log on the fire

If you're having a Christmas, can I have one too
If you're having a Christmas, can I have one too
Can I have one too....

Very true Keith, thanks very much! But I feel this is quite true and hits the nerve of realism around the world at the minute of the less fortunate, thanks again..

Exactly but people are not supposed to discuss these matters eh?
Reminds me of a Christmas song from The Kinks that never gets played on radio, as it doesn't suit the agenda of Christmas.

Just listened to that song by the kinks, brilliant song but unfortunately I can't play it because it doesn't conform to our social status as happy people who love nothing more than over sized shopping centers with big fucking cups of coffee while we buy buy buy and fuck everyone else up there merry Christmas butholes. Great poem by the way.
