CHRISTMAS TREE IN THE WINDOW

CHRISTMAS TREE IN THE WINDOW

The Christmas tree in the window looks sparkly and bright
I think I will use this shop for my bed tonight
People will go about their business and their day
I won't disturb them or get in their way

Looking at that tree reminds me of days gone by
The good times I had makes me want to cry
Now I'm living on a busy crowded street
Worn out clothes on my back and no shoes on my feet

If you should see me I ask for no pity
Instead look at the Christmas tree sparking and pretty

Imagine that sleeping in a shop window full of Christmas lights,
beautiful yet so sad at the
same time , I feel so sad for the homeless every night, more so over the holidays.
