City Lights

City Lights

Passing by dark planes, nothing seems to be at all sane and the sky continues to lose its flame.
I taste the regret, the blood filled with fear, the lost hopelessness.
City Lights in the distance but so dim and I, left here in the cold, think not a coincidence.
lost dreamers and losing fighters held the city lights.
the city lights darken as I approach my way into the silent abyss.
no sounds of screaming nor crying and I am left to believe the worst is slowly sneaking into play..
City Lights weren't meant to stay..

The imagery is vivid...the writing, inky black with despair.
