City of the Dead!

City of the Dead!

Crawling out the cracks are life, death and everything inbetween,
This place is a haven for everything a bleeding heart needs,
With every pouring intent, words and actions spill from an unknown seed,
Hatred, jealousy, cravings of an inflated ego begin, as this city starts to bleed.

City of the dead!
We watched, as the innocent bled,
City of the dead!
They howled, as animals seen red,
City of the dead!
We saw horrors that we can't forget,
City of the dead!
City of the dead!

Thirsty salvation, creating the epic tale of terror amongst the streets,
Warmongers of a burning reality, this is exactly what a society doesn't need,
As the wind whistled through the air, I heard the fear within the aching screams,
The bodies, restless and broken, I couldn't breathe, what on earth am I seeing?!

Let's go outside where smiles are met with demons and where angels cry,
Bullets echo, shells hitting the ground, tears flow as the brave still die,
With every drip I see bare feet bleeding on the hot tattoed streets,
Like an advert for £3 per month, this was dressed up in a guilty plea!

City of the dead!
We watched, as the innocent bled,
City of the dead!
They howled, as animals seen red,
City of the dead!
We saw horrors that we can't forget,
City of the dead!
City of the dead!

Extra!
Extra!
Read all about it!
Battered and bruised,
What about the sheltered?
Fat cats in suit and tie,
Profiteers telling us lies!
Money in war, created by us all,
Panic in the people,
We're known as sheeple!
Blinded by the blue eyes of media control,
We're just the lonely, treat like a ghost,
Existence in reality we're not been heard,
Instead,
In times like this we're a world that burns...

We saw horrors that we can't forget,
City of the dead!
City of the dead!
Extra!
Extra!
Read all about it!
Battered and bruised,
What about the sheltered??

We are a city of the dead!
