Clear skies

Clear skies

At the parting of the clouds
a ring around the moon forms
a nightly call of dream
(scream
not
for once in your life)…

Stars bonding
over stairs (up and up
over mountains
that are not there
for the taking −

while a horse screams,
bringing
joy in spring)

while water wells up,
rising from deep down,
so deep down
I never knew
there was (so much) water
in my world.

no death, no death
in me yet
still rings with truth −

learning curve
circling the moon and

still the water flows, out and outwards
becoming a sea
alive.

In all my dreams I never
dreamt so much life
moved beneath my skin –

I walk the ring
with open eyes,
caress the horse
and let her
speed me on my way…

ride,
ride
ride to the sun…
