CLOSING TIME

"Pour me another one" the young man said
The bar keeper obliged longing for his bed
This young man had been drinking since ten
The bar keeper filling his glass again and again
This young man had troubles a plenty
By the last count it was nearly twenty
Divorce, job loss and depression were mentioned tonight
A young man in tears is not a pretty sight
Hearing of a young mans woes is hard for sure
Made harder when the bar keeper shows him the door
Its three a.m. and it is closing timeĀ
Putting an end to this upsetting rhyme Ā
