Closure

You just left me without any words to say.

I want to know why.

I need to know why you feel this way.

Is it something I did or even what I said.

I didn’t mean for our relationship to have such an awful end.

Is there a way I can fix things or is this it?

You got me crying my eyes out like a little girl and throwing a fit.

I need to know if it was you or if it was me.

Or maybe we both fucked up and it’s just so hard to believe.

I’m starting to think I did nothing at all

And that you’re the one who was having trouble taking the fall.

I understand falling in love isn’t easy

But it’s so much harder when you don’t even try

I should’ve listened to my friends when they said you weren’t right.

I loved you through all the pain and anger.

I loved you even though I felt like this may not work

And even though I loved you through the good times and the bad.

You still left me with no words and a goodbye was all there was to be had.

Where is my closure?

Where is my sad goodbye?

Where is my this isn’t working out,

And my fight that consists of a scream and shout.

Where is my I love you but…

Or even a goodbye kiss

And out of all the ways I thought it could end

I never thought it would end like this.
