Clouds passing by

To watch a cloud floating by
On a blue sky that seems
Eternity's away from where I am now
By and by ohh by and by
I yawn and sigh as I watch the world from behind glass
And what does one wonder at his lonely window
What does one feel
As the day slowly embraces the night
And that blue sky that was so blue is black
What does it all mean
To this man that is but a watcher within Windows
A silent someone searching for a cloud that has long since gone
In a room of thoughts he stands
Forever a statue upon a world of glass
He hears whispers echoes in corridors
And dead ancestors in dreams many things
Unexplainable unseeable frights and fancys
What to make of such unseen reveries
He contemplates from a stone like gaze
But the light returnth
The dawn breaks
Tears of wonder usher forth
From cold stone eyes
And marble hearts breakÂ
For little clouds that are passing by
