Coal miner's daughter

Coal miner's daughter

My sister left home,
When she was seventeen.
and my Dad didn't flip....
I was nine
She was supposed to take
me too, but Mum spoilt it
Jobs were ten a penny,
she went from Stone Henge
to Princes Street,
and I followed with my Biro
writing on the wind..
Hard work and sacrifice
makes Jack a rich girlie
I love to hear her stories,
driving a bullet proof merc
Limmo down Old Shoreham Road..
Prince Philip and Liz overtake..
and Sis gives a royal wave..
that falls on scowling deaf centuries
of monarchy...how very dare she..
Well she dare..
My sister can do anything she dam well wants
so there..
