COCKNEY TALK

In the mid nineteenth century in London townÂ
Something strange was going downÂ
It was a new way to chat and communicateÂ
Originated in the East End the locals thought it greatÂ
A day starts washing their boat race with Bob HopeÂ
Should you want to know that's a face wash with some soapÂ
Followed by putting on their daisy roots and dicky dirtÂ
That's putting on their boots and a shirtÂ
Off to work and a hit and miss to the trouble and strifeÂ
Everyone knows that's a kiss to the wifeÂ
After work it's off to the Rub a dub for a King LearÂ
After work it's off to the pub for a beerÂ
I could go on but I'm now going to Uncle NedÂ
In case you haven't guessed I'm now going to bed

Haha nice one Greg !

A really enjoyable read Keiran. It's a shame cockney rhyming slang has all but disappeared, replaced now by hoodlum language.
