COCKNEY TALK

In the mid nineteenth century in London town
Something strange was going down
It was a new way to chat and communicate
Originated in the East End the locals thought it great
A day starts washing their boat race with Bob Hope
Should you want to know that's a face wash with some soap
Followed by putting on their daisy roots and dicky dirt
That's putting on their boots and a shirt
Off to work and a hit and miss to the trouble and strife
Everyone knows that's a kiss to the wife
After work it's off to the Rub a dub for a King Lear
After work it's off to the pub for a beer
I could go on but I'm now going to Uncle Ned
In case you haven't guessed I'm now going to bed

Haha nice one Greg !

A really enjoyable read Keiran. It's a shame cockney rhyming slang has all but disappeared, replaced now by hoodlum language.
