Poem -

CODEINE my little friend

toilets of grinning past

Prescription lists
taking prescription piss
out on varnished coffin lids
near where the coffee stains
framed in your yesterdays
crystal clear white sea anemones
while Alice in her wonderland
swallows with you
every plan

Shelves with vacant lodgers
unmade beds in lovers heads
rolling dice never are thrown
empty grief  sleeps in a bottle

Rattling on a good day
echos when it is sad
pretty little pill
counted and still, im had

found myself covered in earth
breaching from this graveyard birth
a stone voice
offered the choice

but I prescribe the prescription
life

just one more
DAY
