Cold Feet

Cold Feet

Streams flow westward in search of broken hearts; their prayers won't be answered but their sins answered for.
Bellowing riptides, it's pain like you've never heard before tearing through your eardrums; screaming save all the children for we have led them astray.
Uncontrollable winds of untrusted stories lay upon twisted minds for all the malleable souls to feed off.
It's chaos within this uncharted land of abandoned dreams and in my travels I found the ability to breathe.
This foreseeable freedom is desolate and uncultured but it's what we've always wanted.
Though these floors are dirt and our houses mere red rock I believe it's what we needed.
I'm only now beginning to find myself, and i've never been so happy to be alone.
Step off this ledge with me, you'll see that you aren't as scared once your feet have landed; it's only hard knowing I'm here because you always feel abandoned.
