collective Memories

collective Memories

I walk the white dunes by the sea
Collecting in my memories
The salty breezes of far away oceans’
The cry of a soaring seagull
The shells of long ago creatures
Glistening like pearls at the waters  edge.
The sandpipers too and fro run
From the wavelets
Eating the gifts left behind
By the power of moons.
I think of you collecting your memories
The new ones that live in the galaxy
Tripping between stars and planets
Seeing wonders only angels can visit.
Kicking up clouds of stardust
To fall on the earth below.
I think of the memories we will share
When my time down here is done
We will wander forever together
And shine in the glow of the sun.
