Poem -

Color blind

Without you, my love. I am colorblind. I no longer see the colors of the baby blue skies or the deep blue seas. I no longer see the color of the leaves that fall when they fall or the color of the trees. I do not see the cars that pass or the color of the signs they stop to. I do not see the color of your eyes or your lips. I can no longer see you. I can no longer enjoy what I see for what I see that once had color is now black and white. I cannot see it for it is no longer in my sight. I long for the days where I had you my love. The world was full of color. I long for the bright yellow sun and the hills so green. I long for the colors that I felt in the love from you. The colors I could feel as if love was everywhere and so the colors were too. Now I see no colors and no sign of love as if it were never true. I see no color in this world. All the colors gone from my mind. Without you my love, I am colorblind.

Yes I did. It is a difficult thing to put yourself out there. Cannot help but admire that and the writing.

I totally agree. I think the very thing in this world today that we as humans most lack is the courage to be ourselves and as individuals and as one we can change that slowly whether it is is in a poem that will spark a mind to think differently towards life or a painting that will broadcast an image. We as artists have that power I feel and it's amazing and I love that the ones who act passionately in art can create such a difference.
