COME....

come softly to my bed she said
her eyes a comely sleepy grey
she patted there a space beside 
and eager, he did come to lay

and so they made a dream of love
and made the sky fall from above
and so they lay, and sated worn,
on fluffy clouds, entwined, till morn

Aw hate to burst your bubble but it does Nev, ...3 partners/hubbies  later LOL I can honestly profess it was true love...in the beginning lol...hence the cynicism 🤩😄...thanks Nev X
