COME HOME DADDY

Please dear God let my daddy come home today
Serving in the army and stationed so far away
I miss him so much and mummy does do
So please let my prayers come reality and true

Daddy is a brave man and he serves in Iraq
Always under a barrage of fire and constant attack
For I am six years old and my sister is eight
Come home today daddy we cannot wait

I look at the clock on the kitchen wall
Someone at the front door is starting to call
My prayers have been answered its daddy dear
We are all so happy to have him here
