Remembering the 70's as a child...
How my Parents struggled watching the price of bread rise to fifty cents...
You could buy day old bread for a quarter...
Gas rose to seventy-nine cents a gallon...
Having only making less than ten dollars a week combined with Mom and Dad working full-time...
Dad had to get a second job because, everything was going up faster than they could earn it...
Stagnation was not a good word and the word inflation would be very worrisome with my Mother...
The lines that just kept growing on her beautiful face made her look older than her actual age of 43...
The sadness in her eyes never matched with her smile on her face...
She's passed away which although I miss her all the time she'd never have to see that time come back again...
It would break her heart all over again...
She would say don't spend your blank hours sleeping...
You need to work to make the Government richer but, just maybe you'll have enough to eat and stay warm when it's cold outside...
She would say, My Daughter I will hope you're future is brighter and though you will see Presidents come and destroy, just always treasure the ones though they may be far between always treasure the ones who puts the people first...

There's no more time for sleeping...

It's bittersweet you can relate to this write...
The memories , the hardships, the struggles are so fresh in my mind like I'm going back into a very devastating era, one I never wanted for my children or grandchildren to have to witness this...
What's more surprising to me is the ones who are older than I and that they would want those times again...
The ones that are younger would want to experience that is mind blowing to me...
I guess maybe people having the chance to prosper would gladly and hurriedly choose to give it away...
Just as they have done...
Some people remember and others may not forget...

Great and timely write. I have just visited two places I lived as a poor child (Harris Park and Waterloo, in Sydney Australia) and am horrified at how little has changed. They were hellish for children then and still hellish now.

I had no idea people really wanted to go back to the real hard times...
I do believe people voted out of hate and they didn't know what they've actually voted for...
People are blaming Trump for the higher Covid cases which is absolutely ridiculous...
Yes numbers are going to go up when people don't take precautions...
They're not wearing face masks, they're not social distancing...
What do they expect to happen?
To answer your question to how far back people want to go I guess it depends on which era people like and they really must enjoy making things harder and they must really enjoy struggling...
That's the message I'm getting because, if they really didn't want to poorer and they didn't want to struggle so hard they wouldn't put the direction they did...
I guess Trump changed 10,000,000 families lives of the better and he would have done more if everyone stopped falsely accusing him for almost 4 years...
Even with all of that negative stuff Trump for 10,000,000 new votes than he did in 2016...
You might be getting quite a chuckle soon when you see exactly what they voted for...
You're going to be like I didn't know America was that brainless...
