There, in the times
The days seem somber
But the moments rhyme
There, in the times
Revelations are encumbered
By memories chimes
There, in the times
One is forced to wonder
Where innocence resides
There, in the times
Where truth is torn asunder
False happiness does arise
There, in the times
There's a plethora of plunder
That is hidden by the wise
There, in the times
Hard men often blunder
Into innocence sublime
There, in the times
A garden of golden umber
So rarely comes to light
There, in the times
The sweet silver summer
So often late arrives
There, in the times
The days of summer's brother
Does wear winter's eyes
There, in the times
One wears the eyes of strangers
Then learns the sacred art
Of Compromise....
