I try to make my words sing through my poetry

It helps me to make sense of the world around me.

I want people to feel better after reading my work

Lighter, amused, more positive and confident about themselves and what is going on in their lives.

I want them to feel stimulated and secure about their feelings and emotions

Less alone with their emotional pain.

In my work I try to write in verse about as much of the spectrum of human experience and the many feelings and emotions that we experience throughout our lives and through love and the pain of loss.

If I can help just one person to smile and to deal with their pain and positively help to lighten their heart through my words

Then I can smile at the end of the day knowing that I have succeeded in doing what I have set my heart out to achieve.

I hope that I have managed to inject into someones life as much love and hope and more optimism through my poetry as I can possibly give to them.

My poetry is honest and easily understood and I don`t try to play fancy word games.

What I write is from my heart with no holes barred and it is 100% pure emotional truth.

I write about my life as a mother of six and about the loss of my eldest son to cancer at the age of 31.

I have also tried to venture into the world of children`s verse, writing poems that can be read as lighthearted bedtime stories.

I hope that there are pieces in my work that please all tastes and interests, as the old saying goes " Variety is the spice of life "
