Constitution
Politicians seeking the top post; are the last that should rule!
They end up being tyrants; and inflict much that is cruel!
The Constitution grants power and freedom for the people!
That is why; behind our backs; they tear down rights; like the steeple!
They plot! starting with fear; so we will give up power; protected!
No more leaders touting freedom; considered or elected!
The government will find a person, thus a dictator for the job!
The left implies; citizens only know how to shuck corn from the cob!
Please open blessed eyes! to the dismantling of our great nation!
Please don't hand over freedom! sending us into subjugation!
They try to divide us with fear, chaos, while placing labels!
Forcing us down a dark path! exchanging history with fables!
Apathy, division, we will fall into an historical demise!
Harmony, humility,Β we will save the Constitution, being wise!

Jim the more things change, the more they stay the same. Unfortunately.
We only have to look around and not too deeply either.
Seems every day (hour!) some low moral fibre is exposed for what they really are and cupidity stand for.
Not for the people, their constituents who elect them, then deafly ignored.
Sex, money and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
These bozo's will never learn and the media, whistle blowers and their own arrogance leads to a shaming downfall.
Great angry poem that pulls no punches and tells it how it is alas sadly the world over.
Just look at Putin and his amassed secret monetary worth.
And good to see a light at the end of your poem's tunnel.
A little righteous hope goes a long way for the truths to be exposed.
