Contradict

Contradict

When the fox goes to sleep
And everyone else in the dark deep
I hear the ticks of an unworking clock
The wind up of a broken music box
The opening of a door that was locked
The horn of a ship that was in dock
The crackling of a candle, that was unlit
Someone being scolded by a hypocrite
In an empty house, I hear sound
Someone muttering, wanting to be unbound
