Conversation I Wish to Have

Conversation I Wish to Have

“Why don’t you date often?”

“Well, I suppose it’s because I am afraid that I will give my all and they will not.”

“But isn’t that always the risk?”

“Yes, but I don’t want to be that person who can’t give my all because I am afraid they will give nothing at all.”

“You’re a paradoxical person.”

“Maybe so.”

“I would give you my all, for you.”

“I think I could too”

Have you ever felt a fear so wanting you sat numb and smiling? Have you ever felt a love so needing you lay wishing and casting away? Have you ever seen a star and wanted to name it yours just to say it made you brighter, have you ever wanted to be that star? Have you ever wanted to love it?  Have you felt the sentience of the earth and want to rip the blades of grass and tell them that you love them and their pain? Have you ever wanted to love and love the pain?
