Cosmic Truth

It's a broad topic, said the snail to the microcosm
I've always believed in you
Help me to populate this earth
Then we'll see what we can do!
If you can knit a sweater
Then I can do it too
I'll toss the stars up in the sky
And help you
Become
Anew...
Said the snail
To the microcosm,
We have such Godly
Work to do...
And for the very first time,
"The world began spinning
In greased grooves"...

WOW what great poem Tony
Hey GREG!!......thanx so much for this my friend!!....... LOVE and ROCKETS!!....... Always a pleasure to hear from you ........T xo. ?✳✴☀
Ha!! I love the inherent contradiction in this opening line ... utterly delicious!!! It sets the whole poem up and, frankly, you're never quite sure where you stand with these two 'characters' thereafter.
Like all of your work, this is a "think-piece" (perhaps a more accurate term would be "feel-piece"?) ...and the imagery and ideas stay with you long after reading.
The thing that's stuck in my mind at the moment is this:
These grooves of which you speak ... are they really the mere spinning of the world...the patterns of the stars...or the fractal on the snail's shell??? The chaotic beauty of that image will haunt my dreams tonight...just so you know!!
J ;)
I love the imagery...Like Cherie said...It's all in the perspective of how we see things...We all need each other...to be able to build the world...We're created differently with different skills...No one should look down on another for any reason...You can do this, I can do another thing (my interpretation)....Don't know if I'm right...LOVE and ROCKETS!!
Oh, so lovely... Great work Tony! I'm sure they'll do a good job :)
Kind regards,
Dario
Brilliant imagery Tony!! I am pinning this!!
My Dear Brother Poet Tony,
The Amoeba has such virtue
That the Snail left its' shell
It had said, "I'll only love you"
"If you'll love me just as well"
So they put their souls together
To plan the Earth's Humanity
The Amoeba took the nether
The Snail "Greased Grooves" to be
Peace and Love,
Larry xxx
