Poem -

Could’ve, Would’ve, Should’ve.

Physically in the present,
But mentally I am not.
Some of my thoughts unpleasant,
Upon the past I am caught.

Scenes of before come creeping,
Out of the depths of my mind.
Old memories stay reaping,
Thoughts I thought I left behind.

Why they keep reappearing,
I’m guessing I just miss it.
Can’t stop my eyes from tearing
As my past pays a visit.

This could’ve, would’ve, should’ve,
Should really come to an end.
Although I wish I could’ve,
What has passed I cannot bend.

Shake my head to shake my thoughts,
Time to live in the present,
Leave the old to sit and rot,
Stay positive, think pleasant.
