Country Lane
The leaves are a luscious green
Flowers, the most beautiful I have seen
The waters are so calm
Every living thing has its charm
To appreciate so dearly what I see
Its all there to inspire me
To carry on this fight
Every smell, sound and sight
Did I take the beauty for granted ?
This seed of doubt, in me planted
That I will see another day
Its for others to say !
I just know I must be strong
For no one knows how long

Walking down this country lane
Nothing now seems the same
I was told I only had months to live
But now each day God does give
I wake up with resilience in my heart
This beautiful world and I will not part
Wonders surrounding me, giving me hope
This effort and will to tackle every slope,
Coming from this wish to be free
Of this cancer inside me
When given the news, I cried so
But now I truly know
The meaning of life, with all its splendor
And the glories of mother nature

This is a beautiful and very strong write.  I am hopeful that there will be a cure.  Until then hope is the evidence of things unseen and sometimes what we do see creates that resilience in the heart as we see the greatness of God's magnificence along a country lane.  Excellent write.
