Courage Makes Us

Courage Makes Us

Sure, these walls stand strong

Solid is their occupation

And they work overtime

Sure, these walls stretch high

Any taller and they'd push the sky

And space itself would move aside

And sure, I don't know what's on the other side

If I did I wouldn't be here questioning pride

But since when has that stopped us

Since when has the sun given up rising

Because the moon does it

Since when have we not challenged

Space out of fear of the unknown

Since when have we stopped growing

Since when has humanity given up curiosity

Sure, these walls hold me back

But since when has the words permanent

And Impossible been

Applied to everything
